Our Dentists in Sligo



Patrick graduated from Trinity College Dublin Dental School in 1992.

He spent 5 years in Kent, in a practice which specialised in nervous/anxious patients.

In 1996 , Patrick studied dental sedation with SAAD, The Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and is now a member of the society. This enables him to perform Twilight Dentistry, ensuring that treatment for the phobic/nervous patient is simple and accessible.

Patrick returned home to Sligo in 1997 to work with, learn from and eventually succeed his father Jimmy and grandfather, Paddy.

 



Stephen graduated from Trinity College Dublin Dental School in 1994.

Having spent 4 years in general practice in London, he returned home to Ireland in 1998 to establish The Bray Dental Clinic.

Stephen furthered his studies, completing the Diploma in Clinical Dentistry at The Dublin Dental School in 2002.

In 2006 he joined the dental team at O'Connors, becoming a partner in the practice in 2007.

 



Tania graduated from Cork Dental School, University College Cork in 1994.

She spent 2 years in community general practice in Tullamore and during this time completed a Diploma In Clinical Hypnotherapy.

In 1996 Tania returned home to Leitrim ,joining the Northwest Health Board as Clinical Dental Surgeon in its children's /special needs dept.

In 1998 she joined O'Connors Dental Practice. Having studied dental sedation with SAAD in London, Tania provides calming Twilight Dentistry for anxious patients.

 

Fionnula



Fionnuala graduated from Cork Dental School in 2001. In 2002 she completed the Certificate in Vocational Dental Training having spent the previous year working between the North Western Health Board and Pearse Road Dental Practice.

She spent the following three years working between community and private practice, before joining O'Connors in a full time associate position in 2005.

Fionnuala was awarded the Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in 2007 having completed a 2 year part time course in the Dublin Dental Hospital.

 

Gavin



Gavin attained an honours degree in Biochemistry from University College Cork in 1996, and followed this with a Diploma in Computer Science in 1997. He then went on to study Dentistry and qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 2001.

Gavin worked in private practice in Kent for the following three years, and while there, he attained a Diploma in Dental Homoeopathy. He returned to Ireland in 2004 to take up a position in a holistic practice in Kilkenny that specialised in composite restorations and is a provider of Cerec restorations.

Since joining the O'Connor Moore Dental Team in 2012 Gavin has attained a Masters with Merit in Orthodontics from the University of Warwick, U.K. He practices Orthodontics in Castlebar, Devon U.K and at O Connor Moore Dental Practice.
